Karrie’s professional credentials include a PhD in Kinesiology, certification and licensure in Athletic Training (IL), and certification in Health and Wellness Coaching. She is also currently pursuing a degree Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her professional career includes nearly two decades of teaching and research in higher education in the areas of applied anatomy, athletic training, and lower extremity biomechanics. Her professional interests lie the care and prevention of lower extremity overuse injuries, teaching students to find value in balancing the science and art components of patient and client care, and the mind-body-spirit connection in healing. Karrie also enjoys the organizational and administrative aspects of clinical care, believing a strong foundation allows clinicians to deliver their best work, getting the most out of themselves and giving their finest to their patients.
